The Stranocum and District Community Association has stopped their work in the community.

The present members would like to thank all past members and the community for their help and support in the many events, classes and community campaigns undertaken since their formation in 1998.

All remaining funds will be distributed back into the community by:

- providing a defibrillator in the Community Centre

- providing 60 new Bibles to Bushvalley Primary School

- providing outdoor furniture to the refurbished park in the village.

- various charities including the Community Centre, and ‘Stand by Me’ which works throughout the world, will receive the remaining funds.

The annual tractor run, now known as the ‘Dark Hedges Tractor Run’, will continue in the original format but will be organised by Roseyards Presbyterian Church on the Kirk Road.

The tractor run will still support an annually nominated charity.

The Stranocum and District Community Association wish the Stranocum and District Development Group all the best in continuing the work for the Community.
