THREE of Ireland’s greatest country singers Brendan Quinn, Gloria and Ray Lynam are joining forces to perform a series of concerts.
These three country legends, who have had dozens of hit records between them, will play a number of selected venues around Ireland this spring.
Brendan Quinn has been at the top of the country music tree since he first burst onto the scene in 1971 with ‘It’s 4 In The Morning’, followed by ‘Behind Closed Doors’ 1973, ‘Bandy The Rodeo Clown’ 1977, ‘Daddy’s Little Girl’ 1978, ‘Angeline’ 1979, right up to his very latest ‘The Glory of true love’ 2011, a recording career of over 40 yrs.
Ray Lynam first hit the scene in 1971 when he and the Hillbillies released ‘Gipsy Joe and Me’. The song became a huge hit, the first of many.
Gloria has been singing from a very young age and first came to prominence singing with Johnny MacAvoy’s band.
The show will be held in Ballymoney Town Hall on Saturday April 14 and tickets are available from 02827660230.
