“A hearty start to the day and a resounding success” were the sentiments echoed by those who attended Ballycastle Rotary Club’s annual Charity Breakfast on Saturday May 2nd.

The event, attracting some 140 people, served to highlight the charitable nature of attendees and undoubtedly is a measure of the esteem in which the benefactor, Good Morning Ballycastle, is held.

Supporters of the occasion travelled from far and wide to meet up with old friends, sample the excellent ‘fry-up’ and most importantly lend their weight to this charitable cause.

Both organisations are indebted to Philip and Gemma McHenry, proprietors of the Central Restaurant for placing their premises and staff at our disposal and their suppliers (both local and further-a-field) for a greatly appreciated and most generous involvement.

Thanks to the willingness of individuals to give of their time and money, the princely sum of £1400 has been amassed which will directly assist GMB and other local and Rotary Charities.
