Ballycastle SDLP Councillor and Chair of Moyle Council Dónal Cunningham has hit out at those responsible for placing two suspicious devices at Ballycastle PSNI station.

Cllr. Cunningham said: “At present we are unsure of the exact nature of these devices. However the PSNI have confirmed one to have been a viable device and one to have been an elaborate hoax.

He added, “It does not matter what the motivation behind these actions are, they are totally wrong and should be condemned by the whole community.

“Nothing other than disruption has been achieved by these actions which should be consigned to the history books where they belong; they have no place in modern society.”
