Parents and students gathered in Ballycastle to celebrate exam results awarded to students of Speech & Drama NI from Trinity Guildhall and LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art).

A showcase of outstanding talent and commitment, students and young thespians received rapturous applause as each performance unfolded.

The evening also awoke nostalgia for roads journeyed and memories made. Carla Speers, a former student, presented the awards.

She paid a tribute to her former teacher Shorna Newcombe for the skills taught, the wisdom and guidance given in order to reach for the stars and achieve her dream job at the BBC.

Una Marie Darragh A.T.C.L. from Rasharkin began her drama studies at the tender age of five.

Thirteen years on, she was awarded a Diploma

in Performance studies with Distinction - the highest grade achievable from Trinity Guildhall.

She bade an emotional farewell as she goes off to University of Glasgow to study English and Drama.

Una Marie follows many students from the Ballycastle School of Speech & Drama who have taken on the mantle of academia and successfully forged a career in the world of theatre, film and media.
