The Royal British Legion will be open from 9.30pm to serve tea and coffee before heading outside to the war memorial for 10.15pm to start the candlelight vigil.

If the weather is bad the vigil will be held inside in the Main Hall.

A short service will be held to remember those who lost their lives in WW1. If taking apart please bring a candle.

Special Centenary Candles are available for local M&S stores with all the profits going to support serving members of the Armed Forces, veterans of all ages and their families.

This is part of a nationwide event being run by the RBL and is inviting everyone in the UK to turn off their lights from 10pm to 11pm, leaving on a single light or candle for this shared moment of reflection to mark the 100th anniversary of the date Great Britain entered the First World War.
