Unemployment in Ballymoney rises

THE number of people out of work in the Ballymoney Borough Council area has risen compared with this time last year.

Figures released by the Labour Market this week for the month of December 2012 show that there are 1,070 people out of work - that’s 789 men and 281 women.

The figures represent an increase of 51 people compared with November 2012 and an increase of 93 people compared with December 2011.
