OUR new-look website and Facebook pages have been an outstanding success since their launch early this year!
So far users have viewed a massive 95,737 pages on www.ballymoneytimes.co.uk. While your favourite weekly newspaper has also gathered an amazing 700 ‘friends’ who follow the weekly happenings of the local area through our social networking Facebook site.
As our print sales continued to rise, and buck a national trend, our website and Facebook figures are also on the increase - Coleraine and Ballymoney Times weekly average print and online circulation is 13,336 (ABC verified).
Having launched the Ballymoney and Moyle Times’s new website in 2011, so far we’ve attracted a staggering 40,109 unique users - that’s over 2,500 viewers every week.
On these web pages viewers will find all the essential information needed to keep their finger on the Ballymoney and Moyle pulse – from news and sport, to entertainment and lifestyle.
Deputy Editor Claire Cartmill, who looks after the website explained: “We see our website and indeed our Facebook page as an extension to our newspaper.
“Both are up-dated every week and we hope guests find it easy to access the stories and information they want. Whether they are after the latest football and entertainment news or simply articles reflecting the issues affecting our readers - we have it all!
“Over 700 people have joined our Facebook page since it’s launch which enables us to link to stories and competitions on our website.
“Both sites also give users the chance to interact and send comments which help us shape the content of the Ballymoney and Moyle Times. We never forget that we’re a local paper and we want the views of local people.”
If you have previously registered on our website, you will need to re-register, but we have made it easier to do so by enabling you to use your Facebook or Google username and password.
