A Steering Group of representatives from a range of community organisations in Bushmills have come together to work with and for the local community in order to develop a Masterplan for the Village to confirm a shared vision for Bushmills by 2020.

Moyle District Council has recognised the importance of a strong and agreed vision for the Village and is providing the resources to support the Steering Group to complete this important task.

The Venturei Network and Park Hood Ltd, Landscape Architects, have been appointed by Moyle District Council to work along with the Steering Group to shape and develop the Masterplan.

The Steering Group want this Masterplan to bring together all interests in Bushmills to agree a vision for their place and its people.

By sharing this vision, each of the groups can work towards its own aims and objectives knowing that they are also contributing to a ‘bigger picture’ for the Village.

The Steering Group want the people of Bushmills to tell them what their vision for Bushmills is by 2020, what issues they would like to see addressed and what services they would like to see delivered.

Workshops are taking place in order for representatives of organisations to help contribute to the development of an effective Masterplan.

A Drop in Community Consultation Meeting and an Open Public Consultation Meeting was held on Thursday 5th March.

A presentation and display relating to the Masterplan has circulated public spaces in the Village during the first few weeks of March.
