Worshipful Brother David Burnside welcomed the ‘Blue Lodge’ at St Stephen’s entrance in Westminster. WM Bro Jordan Coulter thanked the brethren of House of Parliament LOL for their invitation and kind words of welcome and stated that it was a great honour for a ‘wee North Antrim Lodge’ to be invited to London.

As far as he knew, he said, no other Lodge from Northern Ireland had received such an invitation. Also speaking at the event, Worshipful Brother Peter Robinson, (Rising Star Secretary), urged the politicians to unite within the Orange/Unionist/Loyalist family to maximise the vote in the forthcoming general election.

Among those in attendance were Lord Empey, Lord Kilcooney and Lord Laird of Artigarvan, who all spoke to congratulate Ballymoney Rising Star and wish them every success in the future.

The historic event concluded with a guided tour of both the House of Lords and House of Commons given by Lord Laird. After the events, Wor Bro David Burnside hosted a meal and social hour at a nearby venue.
