‘Health and Safety’ authorities would have a fit under normal circumstances, but jogging along the usually busy Westlink on Belfast’s M1 will soon become a reality with less than two weeks to the ‘Between the Bridges’ 5km walk, jog or run on Sunday June 22 in support of the Northern Ireland Hospice.

Newly crowned Miss Northern Ireland and Ballymoney local Rebekah Shirley has given the run some sparkling support!

The charity road challenge is designed to be a unique opportunity that all runners, joggers, walkers and families can take part in and promises to be a great event for people of all abilities; from young to old, and from experienced runners to novices.

With only two weeks to go, it’s not too late to dig out your running or walking shoes and get signed up. The 5k run is an ideal distance for even the most inexperienced runner.

Registration is quick and easy at www.betweenthebridges.org.uk or call 028 9077 7123. Sign up is just £10 per person and all sponsorship will go directly to help rebuild NI Hospice for future generations.
