Ballymoney project to benefit from National Lottery funding

The Arts Council of Northern Ireland has announced National Lottery funding and public funding from the Public Health Agency, of over £192,000, for 19 organisations including one in Ballymoney.

The funding is part of the Arts Council’s Arts and Older People’s Programme, a pioneering initiative which aims to promote positive mental health and well-being among older people through engagement with the arts whilst tackling issues of loneliness and isolation.

NI Hospice will work with the Rural Ballymoney Day Hospice Group to deliver an arts project including print making, glass, drama and movement, creative writing, digital arts and music. The arts created during the project will be showcased in the NI Hospice buildings and at a celebration event in the Belfast Hospice on culmination of the project.
