THE Mayor of Ballymoney has hit out at those behind a weekend attack on Rasharkin Orange Hall. The front of the building was partially covered in paint sometime in between Friday evening and Saturday morning.
The hall has been targeted on numerous occasions in recent months.
DUP councillor John Finlay said the recent incident was yet another attack on the Protestant community in the village.
"When is this going to stop? These people aim to intimidate Unionist people in the Rasharkin area and I would call on Nationalist representatives to help put an end to this ongoing problem," he said.
A PSNI spokesman said: "We would appeal for anyone who saw anything suspicious to get in contact with ourselves.
"We would also call on community representatives and people with influence to try to bring this type of behaviour to an end.
"It is time to move forward and all this does is heighten tensions and suspicion among people in the community."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000.
