Injured female evacuated from water at Ballintoy Harbour

A female was evacuated after being injured while taking part in a organised event at Ballintoy Harbour on Sunday afternoon.

She was reported as being in the water with injuries. Ballycastle and Coleraine Coastguards teams and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service were called. Portrush All Weather Lifeboat was launched as well.

Her condition was assessed on scene and she was evacuated by small Y boat to the lifeboat which transported her to Ballycastle to a waiting ambulance.
