Ballinagarvey LOL No33 hold Installation and presentation evening

LAST Thursday was a special night for members of Ballinagarvey ILOL No 33 who held their Installation & Presentation night in ILOI Headquarters Ballymoney.

The Installation part of the evening commenced at 8pm with The IGM Rt Wor Bro Alan McLean a PM of ILOL 33 being piped in by Bro William Campbell from Finvoy Pipe Band.

Sadly due to a family illness the WM Bro Andrew Fynes was unable to attend. The chair was taken by Wor Bro Daryl McLean PM who welcomed all to the meeting including members from the Orange Institution.

The Installation was carried out by Wor Bro Cyril Glass IGL PIGM. Following the Installation a number of brethren addressed the meeting. The meeting was the closed and supper was served before the social and presentation part of the evening commenced.

During the supper the Lodge was pleased to welcome Most Wor Bro Edward Stevenson GM Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland who had arrived for the social part of the evening.

The Chairman for the social evening was Wor Bro Victor McLean PM PCGMA.

The evening commenced with a piping and drumming display from The IGM’s son John McLean and Mr Davy Linton.

The IGM’s other son Bro Aaron McLean a member of the Field Marshall Montgomery Pipe Band Drum Core also performed a drumming display. At this point the Chairman called on Wor Bro James Anderson DIGM to present Rt Wor Bro Alan McLean PM IGM with his 25 year Jewel & Certificate. Wor Bro R J Johnston PIGM then presented membership certificates to Bro Aaron McLean & Bro Simon McLean.

Following the presentations Most Wor Bro Edward Stevenson addressed the crowd.

The group Justified then entertained the crowd with a selection of religious pieces.

The Chairman then called on the IGM to make one final special presentation to Bro Alex McElreavey & his wife Agnes to mark their recent 60th Wedding Anniversary.

Wor Bro Mervyn Storey MLA then spoke before the evening came to a close with the singing of the National Anthem.
