After a spook-tacularly successful event last year, Cairns Residents Group has prepared a bumper Halloween of frolics and capers for this years’ spooky season.
Plans are also in full swing with the residents going all out to create a night of terror for everyone this Halloween night.
The Haunted House is back with new and improved rooms. Each room is designed to raise your hackles as you make your way around in the dark ... and you don’t get out the way you came in! Another favourite is the Trail of Terror with a few hair-raising surprises. Prepare to have goosebumps as the frights keep coming! The Spooky Kitchen has a range of tasty treats on offer as well including BBQ, Hot and Cold Drinks, Tray Bakes and more!
A spokesperson for the Group said: “Last years’ event went way beyond our expectations. We couldn’t believe how many people came and of course made it the success it was. Obviously we had to go for it again as it is a popular night for everyone and although it is difficult to set up, the residents get involved and work really hard to make it as good a night for everyone as possible. We feel it’s giving back to the wider community who have supported us very well in all our efforts so hopefully people will enjoy it.”
It’s fun for all the family at Cairns Allotments in Cushendall, so come along on Halloween Night from 7pm to 9pm.
Everything is free so there is no charge into the field, but donations are welcome. Charges apply for food and refreshments.
In the interest of safety, there can be no fireworks permitted at the allotment field, and as it is a family night they also ask that you refrain from bringing alcohol. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
There are also some parking restrictions on Cairns Road which will be closed to everyone except residents and emergency vehicles.
Finally the Group wants to wish everyone a good night and a very happy Halloween. So why not dress up in your Halloween costumes and add to the atmosphere? It promises to be a real scream... guaranteed to scare the bejaysus outa ye!!!
