VISITORS to one of the north coast's most scenic stretches are forced to run a gauntlet of stinking sewage spray on windy days, a councillor has revealed.
Ballintoy Sinn Fein representative Cara McShane told a meeting of Moyle Council something needs to be done about an outfall pipe on a path between Larrybane and Church Corner close to the Carrick-A-Rede ropebridge.

"If it is windy the spray from the pipe sprays back up. It is a health and safety issue and is not good for people walking. It is a lovely walk ... but.".

The councillor wants action taken by Northern Ireland Water on the matter and she also wants an update from them on the mains sewage system at Harbour Road, Ballintoy.
