SIX arrests were made after police had to call for back-up when they went to the Queen Street area of Ballymoney in the early hours of Saturday to investigate reports of windows being smashed.
Two patrols were originally tasked to the scene at 3.15am and further assistance was required. Three of the group were arrested in connection with assaults on police. Officers said the group was “very aggressive”.

All six - aged from their teens through to mid-20s including males and females from the local area and also the Armoy district - were released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 08456008000 or phone the Crimestoppers freephone confidential number on 0800555111.
