BALLYMONEY bikers are staging a night to celebrate the life of Paul Bellingham who was killed in a tragic road accident in Scotland in July.
The Dunaghy man was leading a trip to a motorcycle rally on his Harley Davidson when he was involved in a four-vehicle crash in Ayrshire.
The dad-of-two left behind wife Alison and their two young children - a son aged five and a nine-month-old baby daughter.
Paul, 40, was the treasurer of Conductors Motorcycle Club, based in Ballymoney, and his friends there have organised a bash in honour of the man they knew affectionately as Maverick this Saturday.
One of those behind the fundraising night, David Owens, said it would be an excellent opportunity to pay tribute to his pal.
"Maverick was in the club for about 10 years, since the start," David told the Times.
"We would just meet up and head away for the weekend.
"He was well respected in the club and throughout the entire motorcycling fraternity in Northern Ireland.
"He lived for two things - his family and his bike."
Approximately 800 bikers came from all over the UK for the popular biker's funeral in Limavady, where he had been living in recent years, forming a formidable guard of honour outside the church.
Up until his death, Paul had been working as a lorry driver for Limavady Community Development Initiative (LCDI).
Speaking in the aftermath of the tragedy, LCDI general manager Damien Corr said he made a massive impact on everyone he met.
Mr Corr said: "He was only here a year, but you'd think he was part of the furniture he was so well known. He had such a positive outlook and always had time to chat with everyone.
"Paul will certainly be missed, but not just for his work. He was a genuine, good humoured guy and had such a positive outlook. A lot of people will have learned from him."
He added: "He looked like a big biker but he was a gentle giant."
Two live bands - Freedom Run and Both Barrels - are set to perform at the event in Ballymoney Rugby Club on Saturday evening.
David added: "Anyone who wants to go is more than welcome. There will be folk there from all walks of life so come along."
Admission is just £5 with proceeds to Paul's family.
