UP to 25 new jobs are to be created as a result of an exciting new development at the former site of Reid Transport in Cloughmills, the Times can exclusively reveal.
All - Tex Recyclers have relocated to the six and a half acre site and have made a firm commitment to investing heavily in their business over the next few months as part of their strategic plan which will help to provide a boost to the local economy
.
The company hopes to develop strong links with Ballymoney council amongst others across Ireland whilst supporting the local community and charitable organisations, through innovative fundraising schemes.
Immediate plans are to offer employment in eleven positions and in the longer-term the company hope to boost that number to 25 to add to the 90 existing employees.
All -Tex is currently in a period of growth and, according to Business Development manager, Paula McAuley, has welcomed the opportunity to offer local employment in this period of growth.
Both the Mayor of Ballymoney, Cllr. John Finlay and local MLA, Mervyn Storey, said they were delighted with the development and looked forward to offering whatever help they could to the new development.
All –Tex Recyclers, is a registered textile recycling and export business, which has been in business since 1998 collecting second hand clothing and paired shoes from charity shops throughout Ireland and is in the process of developing new fundraising inivatives for community/voluntary organisations through the recycling of used clothing.
The company has already started trading from the 57,000 square feet premises at 1 Ballycregagh Road and their relocation provides the much needed space to develop their plans for expansion.
The clothing collected by All–Tex from across Ireland is brought back to its new premises in Cloughmills where it is graded by a team of experienced employees into more than100 products.
The items when graded are exported onto worldwide markets creating a source of employment both at home and abroad.
All – Tex works with many well known charities and is excited by the move to Cloughmills as the building offers plenty of room for expansion and development, which will help to boost employment prospects in the borough of Ballymoney.
Currently employing 90 people All – Tex Recyclers have plans to create up to 25 new jobs which will commence with 11 new positions advertised in today's paper.
This company helps to reduce more than the one million tonnes of clothing sent by the public to landfill in the UK and Ireland each year.
