THE Mayor of Ballymoney, Councillor John Finlay, has slammed those responsible for an attack on an Orange Hall in the Rasharkin area last weekend.
In a statement to the Times, Cllr. Finlay said: "I wish to condemn the breaking of a window at Drumcon Orange Hall outside Rasharkin.

"When I visited the hall last week it was quite clear that those responsible were not youngsters given the size of the stone used.

"This is an on-going campaign against Protestants in the Rasharkin area as on Thursday night Protestants in the village Orange Hall came under attack from fireworks.

"This needs to be condemned by all right-thinking people and the local representatives need to do more to get this to stop.

"We need action not words.
"Also the PSNI needs to take action given the level of attacks in the area."
