Local historian, Peter Thompson, supplied us with most of the snapshots of former service men who hail from around Stranocum.
If anyone can help put more detail on to the scant information we have, it would be greatly appreciated.

The band picture is of Bushside Flute band (now an Accordion band) from several decades ago - probably the late 50's early 60's.
Some familiar faces are pictured including lead drummer, Hugh McMullan.
Indeed, the McMullan family provided the bulk of members for the band.

Sadly, most of those in the picture are no longer with us, but their legacy of making a huge contribution to bands and the tradition in North Antrim lives on.
