Rare clock realises £950 at McAfees

A rare Calendar Clock was one of the top lots at McAfee Auctions sale last weekend when it realised £950, after a tough battle between two room bidders, and two telephone bidders, finishing with two telephone bidders, and was eventually knocked down at £950.

The clock which arrived in the Auction Room, from a Letterkenny seller, measured approximately thirty inches by twenty-four inches and not only had a brass dial, but also gave the days in the week, months in the year, years after leap year etc.
