The Sinn Fein team on Moyle District Council have congratulated Cushendall Development Group on their completion of The Village Plan and on the launch of their new book “Cushendall, A Village In Focus” and their new business website www.glensbusiness.com, after a very successful launch event in The Glens Hotel last Tuesday.
Councillor Colum Thompson, speaking after the event said: “What Cushendall Development Group has achieved over the past twenty one years has been nothing short of phenomenal, from its inception in 1990 The Development Group has made a huge contribution to life in Cushendall and long may their efforts continue. Their new book and the completion of The Village Plan has yet again enhanced Cushendall both as a place to visit and a place to live.
“I would also urge all business owners in The Glens to register with the website, first impressions of the website would indicate that it will quickly become a fantastic tool for business promotion throughout The Glens.” Councillor Margaret Anne Mc Killop also congratulated the group “The delivery of The Village Plan has really contributed to improving the appearance and the functionality of Cushendall as a community. The new book, Cushendall A Village In Focus, is also a fantastic publication detailing events in the village over the last twenty one years.
“I would also encourage any business owners to sign up to the new Glens Business website as I am sure it will have a positive impact.” Councillor Noreen Mc Allister was also full of praise for The Development Group “Cushendall Development Group has really gone from strength to strength over the past twenty one years and they are an example to other communities of what can be achieved when people put their heads together and put in an effort to improve their own areas.”
