Period pieces of furniture, lots of Royal Worcester, Royal Dux, silver including a superb silver canteen, paintings, collectibles and pieces of jewellery, are all included in McAfee Auction sale of fine furnishings this Fridat the 15th of February.

Described by the auctioneers as ‘An important sale of fine furnishings’, this major sale of over 700 lots includes a wide and varied collection of fine pieces, that will appeal to the discerning.

Among the many pieces of fine furniture are a very fine inlaid display cabinet, a two door oak bookcase, a superb four door breakfront sideboard, a very good mirror backed sideboard, a highly carved extending dining room table and eight chair set, and a matching sideboard, lots of occasional tables, chairs, table and chair sets, a mahogany four poster bed, other mahogany bedsteads and other bedroom furniture, couches, pair of gilt upholstered chairs, longcase and wall clocks, mirrors, tapestries, barometers, whatnots, piano stools, writing desks, fine inlaid music cabinet, three piece suite, book trough table, drinks cabinet etc.

Collectibles include many signed piece of Royal Worcester and Royal Dux from a private collection, pieces of ruby, crown derby, coalport, belleek, masons ironstone, doulton and hummel figurines, border fine art, part II of the McKee Collection of Staffordshires, crystal, oil, lamps, porcelain plaques, pictures, prints etc.

Among the many pieces of silver is a superb heavy silver canteen of cutlery and bone handled knives, a coffee pot, tea service, dishes, cigarette, vesta and jewellery boxes etc.

A fine collection of jewellery includes many fine gold diamond and sapphire rings, 18ct and 9ct gold bracelets, chains, brooches, a very fine diamond inset cross pendant, other pendants, bangles, and ladies gold and other wrist watches.

Viewing for the sale commences on Wednesday 13th February from 3.00 - 5.00pm and 7.00 - 8.30pm and continues on Thursday 14th February from 3.00 - 5.00pm and 7.00 - 8.30pm and on the day of sale Friday 15th February from 4.00pm - 6.00pm, when the sale commences.
