Balnamore do

THERE are lots of fun activities planned for the folks of Balnamore in the coming month.

A family fun night will be held on Saturday, January 26th with a Beetle Drive in Balnamore Community Centre at 7pm.

Adults £3, children free. Refreshments served. Come along for an evening of fun.

Little Acorns Parents and Toddler group meets every Tuesday in Balnamore Community Centre from 10 am - 12 noon.

Mill Youth Club will meet every Friday from January 18th. Four - eleven year olds meet from 6.30pm - 8pm and 12 - 16 year olds from 8 - 9.30pm. Cost £1.50. Everyone welcome.

Ballinlea concert

Ballinlea LOL 1511 are holding their Annual Concert on Friday 8th February @ 7.30pm sharp.

Guest compare for the evening is Terence McKeague and artists include Kenny Archer, Uel Bailey, Melissa Hamilton and the Colorado Band. Tickets cost £7.50 and are available from Andrew on 07759142109 or Gardiner on 07801416736.

Flower classes

STRANOCUM and District Community Association is to hold Flower Arranging Classes in the Community Hall beginning Wednesday, January 23rd.

The classes by Anne Henry (qualified florist) run for six weeks from 7.30 - 9pm. Cost £30.

To register please phone Linda Wilson (secretary) on 028 2074 1270 before Saturday, January 19th. Numbers are restricted so book early to avoid disappointment.

Burns supper

The Kingdom of Dalriada Ulster-Scots Society are pleased to announce details of their annual Burns Supper in Ballymoney, which will take place on Friday 8th February in the Manor Hotel.

The evening will consist of the traditional Burn’s ceremony where the Haggis will be piped in and of course addressed, along with a 5 course meal with a choice of roast beef or turkey and ham as your main course.

Musical Entertainment is provided by Maiden City Beat, A contemporary and very popular Ulster-Scots group from Londonderry. Tickets for the event are priced at £15 per person and are available from the Ullans Centre 4-6 Victoria Street, Ballymoney Tel 028 276 68897 or from any member of the group.

Tyme Dance

THE ladies of St Colman’s Parish Church are having an Old Tyme Dance in the Allen and Adair Hall, Dervock, on Friday, February 1st.

Music by the Sam O’Neill Duo with dancing from 8.30pm to late. Admission £5 including supper. All proceeds for the Church Renovation Fund. Everyone welcome.

Table quiz

Leaney PFA are holding a Table Quiz in the Rugby Club, Ballymoney.

The event will take place on Friday 25th January at 8pm sharp. Everyone welcome!

Quiz time

A Table Quiz will be held in Ballinlea Orange Hall on Thursday 28 February at 8pm in aid of Craiganee Accordion Band.

Quizmasters will be Thomas Christie and James mcMullan. Admission £3.
