Ballymoney’s New Events.etc brochure out

Ballymoney Borough Council has just released its new Events.etc brochure which gives details of arts and cultural events taking place in Ballymoney Town Hall from now until May.

Organised by Ballymoney Borough Arts Committee and the Council’s Cultural Services, the programme features a number of excellent music events beginning on 6 February with Máire Ní Chathasaigh (harp) and Chris Newman (guitar), one of the most popular duos to have performed in the Town Hall. A week later on 13 February we welcome The Southern Tenant Folk Union who will be performing in Ballymoney as part of the Cultural Crossings programme.

On 20 March, by popular demand, the Apex Jazz Band are back only this time they bring with them guest artist and internationally renowned trombonist George Kidd.

Then on 11 April, popular singer songwriter Anthony Toner returns to Ballymoney to promote his brand new album “Things Fall Apart”.

In March, we can look forward to a feast of drama with the 74th Ballymoney Drama Festival which features leading amateur drama groups from all over Ulster.

The festival is organised by Ballymoney Drama Festival Committee.

Local historian S Alex Blair pThere are a number of excellent exhibitions in the Museum over the coming months beginning with Walking the Colours in February/March, followed by Images of Ireland: Part II in March/April and the Annual Motorcycle Road Racing Exhibition in May.
