Last showroom sale of season at McAfee Auctions
MCAFEE Auctions last showroom sale of the season takes place next Friday night the 29th of June in there Ballycastle sale room, and offers approximately 800 lots of antique and general furnishings, collectibles, paintings, silver, jewellery, tools, outdoor effects etc.
Among the many interesting pieces of furniture is an early oak panelled settle, a number of chair sets, display cabinets, dining room table, mirror backed and other sideboards, table and chair sets, a good selection of easy chairs, occasional tables, living room suites, number of chests, overstuffed couches, large carved lidded chest, buttoned back settee, quality carpet squares and rugs, two double weight Vienna wall clocks, selection of bedroom furniture including a five piece bedroom suite, modern bedroom suite, double pedestal desk, china cabinets etc.
Collectibles include, ruby, doultons, parian, crystal including a selection of Waterford and other crystal, belleek, carltonware, royal albert and other tea sets, dinner sets, coffee sets, hummells, silver including a three piece tea service, coffee pot, tea pot, cutlery, condiments etc, silver plate etc.
Paintings including works by Sam McLarnon, G W Morrison, Creswell Boak, Gregory Moore, J P Rooney, Michelle, etc. Lots of prints, pictures, mirrors etc. Jewellery includes a platinum three diamond ring, a 14ct gold sapphire and diamond ring, 9ct gold inset brooch, earrings, watches etc.
Smaller furnishings include a nest of tables, plant stands, four fold screen, standard lamp, cake stands, stick/umbrella stands, coffee tables, stools, barometers, oil lamps etc.
Other more unusual lots include a golf buggy, set of old tea bins, selection of fishing rods and reels, and old and an almost new cash register, two turf barrows, a large pine kitchen table, selection of trunks, mahogany sleigh bed, lots of coins, restoration pieces, plan chest, old lamps, trolley jack, Joey Dunlop memorabilia, tools including a large tool box, child’s cot, garden bench and seat ends, office desks and garden planters etc, etc.
Viewing commences on Wednesday 27th and continues on Thursday 28th from 3.00 – 5.00pm and on Friday the 29th from 4.00pm until start of sale at 6.30pm.
