SIR, I would like to make a brief comment on the recent announcement by the Government warning the UDA that it would not get any of the £1.2m. transformation cash unless it decommissioned weapons.
It’s a situation that hasn’t gone down well with many people particularly those who still see a threat from Republican elements.
If I were the UDA I would tell the Government what to do with their money - they can keep it!
And although it has nothing to do with the Government, I seem to remember a certain organisation walking away with £26m!
