NUMEROUS calls have been made to make fUSe FM 'a permanent feature in the lives of the people of Ballymoney'.
Since the return of the Ulster-Scots station on March 29, the Ballymoney and Moyle Times has been inundated with letters expressing delight at its two week broadcast.

The project was first attempted in December 2007 and proved to be a huge success
attracting a staggering 3,000 text from listeners and support from the business sector in the form of sponsorship and advertising. And once again organisers are celebrating its even greater success this time around.

In a letter to the Times, Codie Murray writes: "I would like to write and say well done to everyone associated with fUSe FM that was recently broadcasting in the town.

"The presenters were all very good and it was great listening to the banter between them all. The range of music was good and they catered for all tastes as long as the text messages came in.

"When it was all over, the other radio stations which I had listened to just didn't seem the same nor were they as good as Fuse FM. So please get behind this project to have a full time radio station in the town. Can't wait til it returns in the summer and hopefully it will broadcast for longer."

In another letter signed, from Sydney Milligan a Devoted fUSe Fm listener and friend, he states: "I would be grateful if you would print this letter of thanks and appreciation to fUSe FM 106.2 and the Ulster Scots agency for a brilliant two weeks broadcasting from Ballymoney.

"To all the presenters and people behind the scenes who made this possible. However I would especially like to thank Boss, Tubes and Pan also known as Ann Smith, the stars of the show - a big thanks for two weeks of fun and outstanding entertainment, you will be dearly missed.
"This is what we need in Ballymoney permanently something that brings a feel good factor to the town, a good news item for once.

To you one and all, I say thanks, well done and God Bless. Ballymoney will be a place until the next time we hear from you. "
And finally Alan Wright from Bendooragh added: "I would like to express my delight that for the last two weeks Ballymoney and the surrounding area were treated to the most wonderful experience.

"I refer of course to the radio station that broadcast from the Orange Hall in the town. I was also delighted to hear local presenters speaking in there own tongue, not in anyway trying to hid or disguise their language, but speaking in the tongue that they know and grew up with.

"I was also very pleased to listen to the many advertisements that were played each day, i am sure that their support was much appreciated by the Ulster-Scots group in Ballymoney. Could I also assure them of my support in the future.

"I do look forward to the station coming back again in the summer, I also hope that it could be a permanent feature in the lives of the people of Ballymoney.

"Well done to all involved it was great to listen to you each day, your music was 'nearly' always good but the fun and the happy atmosphere was marvellous. Well done fUSe FM. Come back soon."
