JOANNE McLaughlin, Town Centre Project Officer reminds local residents about what's on offer in an ever changing Ballymoney town.
Has Ballymoney slipped from your retail radar? Then look again!
It is very easy to be tempted by the allure of the larger towns, with their identical high streets, that often, we don't take time to notice the positive changes that are occurring in our own local town.

Ballymoney is one such town, offering its residents, a unique shopping and leisure experience that has dramatically changed in recent years.

We wish to remind locals of some of these positive changes, in case Ballymoney has slipped from their retail radar in recent times. In a newly published pocket brochure, residents are reminded about what Ballymoney has to offer.

The brochure highlights a selection of the shopping and leisure options available to those who take the time to call in to their local town.

Hair, Health & Beauty
In recent years we've witnessed at least 3 new hairdressers opening up in the town, with Bleu, Halo and Unique Hair Salons. Both traditional and complementary medicines are provided for in Ballymoney nowadays.

Giftwares and Homewares
Ballymoney has always had a tradition of excellence in gifts and home furnishings for many years, and recent developments have simply added to that offer. Lily Cottage is one such gem. When Annie Twaddle retired from her wool and craft business, both Sue's Gift & Wool and A Stitch in Time have aptly catered for this market.

Fashion for All
Long standing family run favourites include Winsome Lady, Tweeds and Robert Gault, while welcome new entrants in the younger fashion scene include DV8 and Therapy Clothing. Charity shopping is all the rage and Ballymoney has a fabulous range to browse around. Even the bride and groom are catered for in Ballymoney.

The Great Outdoors
Ballymoney is blessed with a beautiful landscape that lends itself to various outdoor adventures and activities. To complement this, Ballymoney stockists have camping, cycling, fishing and watersports equipment to make your sports as safe and fun as possible. The town also provides many indoor options with keep fit classes, go karting, snooker and bingo

Fine Food & Drink, Day or Night
Café culture has really taken off in Ballymoney, where the coffee menu is huge! Recent entrants within the last few years include Coffee Capital, Ground Coffee, while the former Brown Jug has had a complete rebranding to become Benbrooke's. Ballymoney also caters for every type of takeaway including traditional, Indian, Chinese and Italian.

So if Ballymoney has slipped from your retail radar, then look again! It is a changed town, where traditional meets trendy and many myths have been dispelled.
