IT'S that time of the year again, when Ballymoney goes bike-mad!
And once again this year there is a line-up of events for our motorbike enthusiasts to get excited about in the run-up to the North West 200.
An exhibition is now underway at Ballymoney Museum in the Town Hall featuring the 'Legends of Road Racing'.

That got underway on Saturday and will run until May 31 from Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm every day.
Admission is free and there will also be a special opening of the exhibition on Sunday, May 18 from 1pm to 5pm - the day after racing at the North West.

In addition, on Friday, March 16 and also at the Ballymoney Museum, the BBC's Big Bus will be in town where it is hoped that visiting bike fans will take a few moments to come on board and record some of their favourite memories of the NW200.

The museum is also encouraging people to bring along road racing memorabilia and talk about the nostalgic races of years gone by. This will be a chance for the road racing community to talk about why they find their sport so exciting.

The BBC and Ballymoney Museum want to know, in the words of the fans, what was so special about watching the Armoy Armada, what makes Joey the greatest, and will Robert Dunlop win a NW200 race again in 2008?
Then it's time again for the traditional Bikers' Breakfast in Ballymoney Methodist Church in Seymour Street.

The hugely popular event, which offers a FREE full cooked breakfast for anyone, not just bikers, is one of the highlights of this time of year in Ballymoney and is sure to attract another big crowd.
It is being offered from 9.30am to 12noon and if you don't fancy the full works, then perhaps a cup of tea or coffee with some toast is for you?

Other evening attractions include: nights at The Imperial Bar, Main Street, The Bush Tavern, Market Street, The Manor Hotel, Main Street, Kelly's Bar and Tap Room, Church Street, Joey's Bar, Seymour Street and The Glynns Bar, Church Street.

In addition, there's a range of activities geared towards bikers in the town's pubs and bars.
The Imperial Bar in Main Street is offering live music on Friday 16, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 while if karaoke's your thing then get down to The Bush Tavern, The Manor Hotel and The Glynn's Bar on the Friday evening to belt out your favourite tunes.

The Manor is also serving a series of 'bikers specials' all through race week, as is Kelly's Bar and Tap Room in Church Street.
Whatever your fancy, this promises to be another memorable racing season in Ballymoney!

Ballymoney TCM wishes to acknowledge the efforts of the local traders in welcoming its visitors to Ballymoney during NW200 week.
As well as retailers decorating their windows with biking themed artwork and unique racing memorabilia, many of the pubs are hosting live music while cafes put on special menus for the visiting thousands.

It is always a great week in the town which everyone doing business here looks forward to.
