A Ballymoney singer/songwriter has raised £250 for The Meningitis Trust.
The funds were raised by attendees who purchased ballot tickets at Liam’s recent album launch. The cheque was presented in Ballymoney to Kelly Shaw Fundraising Manager of The Meningitis Trust in Northern Ireland.

Liam said: “I would like to thank those who contributed to the collection or who have bought copies of my new album. There is also a CountryFest 09 album available featuring tracks by many of the participating artists. This is an important charity which deserves to be supported.”

Kelly said: “Meningitis Trust is delighted at the support it has received from Liam McLaughlin. Liam is one of the artists performing at Countryfest and we are looking forward to our association with the event held later this summer.”

Liam’s new album features the brand new original track ‘The Girl from County Clare.’

The Meningitis Trust is this year’s charity of choice for UTV CountryFest 09 at which Liam will be performing on August 1st and 2nd at The Kings Hall, Belfast.
