THE annual Ulster Scots Games, hosted by the Kingdom Of Dalriada Ulster Scots Society will be held this Saturday 4th July in Ballymoney Showgrounds. As in other years, the event will provide a day of free entertainment for the folk of Ballymoney and the north Antrim hinterland.
This year, the entertainment will begin on the evening of Friday 3rd July as the popular Ulster Scots folk group, STONEWALL, will perform live at the Castle Croft off Main Street. This open air concert will precede the band parade in the town and will be free to all who wish to come along to the event.

The Games will commence at 12 noon and will continue throughout the day until about 6pm. Bands attending includes the Grove Pipe, Glenkeen Fife & Drum, Vow Accordian and Ballymaconnelly Sons of Conquerors. The usual Games will include tug-o-war, tossing the sheaf, horse shoes and throwing the welly.

If you wish to enter as an individual or as part of a team, you can do so by contacting fUSe FM on 07936 007 888 and giving your details to any of the presenters or, from Wednesday 1st July, by calling into the Ullans Centre at 6 Victoria Street, Ballymoney.
