Hugo launches Stranocum Ulster Scots festival
STRANOCUM Ulster Scots Culture and Heritage Society have organised a festival which they believe will cater for both young and old.
A varied programmes of events have been organised for dates between 1st July-11th July.
After the success of last years festivals the committee have been working through out the winter months to put together another impressive show.
Stranocum Ulster Scots are now very active in the Ulster Scots Community, providing language courses, musical tuition, cookery demonstrations and much more to the local community and farther afield.
This years festivals will include all of the above any also a football tournament. The group are delighted in securing BBC Radio Ulsters Hugo Duncan show on 10th July, Broad Casting Live from the bridge area from 1.30pm-3pm, and we would expect Hugo's Legions of fans to be in Attendance.
All events will be published in the local papers, any committee members will be posting leaflets to all in the stranocum area.
The final to the festival will once again feature around the bonfire including a spectacular fire works display on 11th July which proved so popular the year before. The committee would wish to give their sincere thanks to the Ulster Scots Agency and Ballymoney Borough Council. For their Financial Assistance. Please note admission to all events are free.
