One hundred grannies and grandas go back to school

AS part of Catholic Schools Week 2013, the boys and girls of St Patrick’s and St Brigid’s PS in Ballycastle invited their Grandparents to visit the school for morning refreshments and an assembly.

Almost 100 grandparents attended the event and the school wishes to convey its gratitude to all who attended as it was another opportunity to cement links between the school, the family and the Parish.

During the course of the morning, the children were treated to stories about what life was like at school and home approximately 50 years ago.

Special thanks to Mrs Donnelly, a grandparent, who helped with this event. The school choir had also prepared some unique songs for all those in attendance and the children had produced various pieces of work relating to how important their grandparents were in each of their lives.
