Northern Trust congratulates local achievers

The Northern Health and Social Care Trust held its first Celebration of Achievement ceremony recently to recognise and congratulate staff that had been supported by the Trust to complete qualifications, which assist them in their personal and professional development as an employee.
Trust staff, board members and guests attended the Ceremony from partner organisations.
Jim Stewart, Trust Chairman, paid tribute to all the achievers and recognised,Achievements were attained in many different qualifications - certificates, diploma
s, degrees, masters and PhD with the breadth of qualifications highlighting the breadth of services provided by staff.

Mr Tom Frawley Ombudsman was the guest speaker for the event and he described how learning, development and leadership contributes to making a difference to service users and their families.

The Trust works closely with universities, colleges, professional organisations, trade unions and other agencies to provide a wide range of opportunities to staff. Mr Trevor Neilands, Chief Executive Northern Regional College (NRC) also spoke at the celebration. He described how the relationship between the Trust and NRC has benefited staff development, and he expressed his wish that it will continue to do so
The celebration finished with remarks from Norma Evans, Chief Executive, who paid tribute to the achievers and all those who supported them on their learning journey and thanked all the guest speakers for contributing to the success of the ceremony.
