McCann sponsored walk

THE Aileen McCann Foundation is holding a May Day Sponsored Walk and would like to welcome everyone along.
Vice Chairperson Donna McKeown, said: "The walk, planned for May Day which is on Monday 5 May.

"The walk commences at 12 noon at Portrush West Strand walking to The York in Portstewart.

"The walk is not long. It is a nice stroll along the coast
line and gives time for reflection.”

Sponsor sheets are available or you can make a donation on the day.

Meanwhile, the Foundation wish to thank the people of St. Mary's Parish Rasharkin, who on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 April held a collection to raise funds for the calendar appeal.

A total of £600.30 was raised.

They also wish to extend thanks to all who attended a recent gathering on Tuesday 22nd April in their office in Kilrea.

Chairperson Odhran Darragh, said: "We decided to take a break from our work to reflect and gather together with people who we have helped to date. A great evening was had.

"A cancer group from Coalisland also made the journey to share new ideas and we were very much encouraged by proceedings."

Tea Mornings are now back to the last Friday of the month at the Enterprise Centre and guest speakers will be in attendance.

The foundation, which works in the north Antrim and Causeway areas, thank all for their continued support.
