Balnamore and District Community Association recently held the last in the current series of health-related information evenings.
On hand to give advice on eating a balanced diet was Betty Robinson, Community Dietician.
Residents were urged to look at their current diet and were also advised that regular exercise should be part of our everyday routine.

Betty provided some timely advice about barbeque cooking and food safety. Putting theory into practice was local lad, and proprietor of La Petite Baguette, Paul McClelland who produced a mouth-watering selection of BBQ meals, including fish, chicken and vegetarian dishes.
Paul also prepared some five-minute desserts using low-fat ingredients, proving that healthy foods can be very tasty indeed!

Margaret Gibson, Committee member said, 'I have really enjoyed tasting the various dishes Paul made and I'm looking forward to trying out some of his ideas this summer.'

Roger Austin, Vice-chair thanked those in attendance and both guest speakers for their contribution to a very successful evening which was funded by the Northern Investing for Health Programme, managed by NIHE.
