THE very glamorous Lynda Bryans hosted the album launch of 'Go In Peace', a musical tribute to the Corrymeela Community recently.
UTV presenter Lynda welcomed music lovers and Corrymeela supporters from across Northern Ireland to well-known songwriter Roger Courtney's, latest musical venture.

She said: "I've known Roger for some years now but really had my eyes opened on Saturday night at the concert – I had no idea of the extent of the number of songs Roger has penned. The audience was enormously warm and friendly and you could feel the goodwill they held for him – it was no surprise that "The Pollen of Peace" got the biggest cheer of the evening – and a standing ovation!"

Doing her bit for peace and reconciliation she posed for pictures with BBC TV rival Noel Thompson who purchased several CDs for family and friends.

Go In Peace is a compilation of songs penned by Roger, an avid supporter of Corrymeela's reconciliation work; they mark key moments in the charity's rich history.

Roger explained: "Corrymeela has been a crucial aspect of my like for almost forty years. It allowed me to get to know a much more diverse group of people than I would and enabled me to develop and understand my faith and value-base and to appreciate how music can play a role in communicating an important message."

This fundraising event helped raise much needed support for the capital campaign which hopes to provide improved and very necessary accommodation and facilities for volunteers, young people and families alike at the Ballycastle Centre.

The valuable peace and reconciliation work undertaken at our centre in Ballycastle cannot continue without public support.
To get your copy of Go In Peace CD and songbook contact Bernie at Corrymeela House, 8 Upper Crescent, Belfast BT7 1NT; you can contact her directly on 02890 508080 or belfast@corrymeela.org.
