ACTION MS has said a big thank you to Ballymoney couple Brian and Marion Knipe following a generous donation of £1,200.
The money was raised at Brian's recent 50th birthday celebrations.
Instead of presents Brian asked guests at his party to make a small donation to Action MS.
Brian chose the charity as his cousin, Mrs Gillian McKane, has multiple sclerosis and benefits from Action MS services, including its reflexology service in Coleraine.
Brian said: "Both Marion and myself would like to thank all our family and friends for their most generous donations. We are delighted to support Action MS, Gillian has benefited greatly from the charity's services."
Mrs McKane said she was delighted that Brian had chosen to support multiple sclerosis. "Action MS is a great local charity and is a vital part of my support network.
"Action MS understands, they know what you are going through and the staff are very supportive. I have reflexology at the Action MS North West office in Coleraine.
"I find the reflexology very beneficial for any stiffness I may feel. Going into the treatment room and meeting with Moira is also very much a social occasion - we catch up on all the latest news before I get to relax during my reflexology session."
Action MS reflexologist Moira McIvor thanked Brian and Marion for their generosity.
In accepting the cheque, Mrs McIvor said: "Action MS is Northern Ireland's leading multiple sclerosis charity and we are a completely self-funded charity.
"It is thanks to the generosity of the Northern Ireland public and business community that we are here to support those living with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers."
