EXCITEMENT is mounting in Armoy as the date for the Three Churches Vintage Rally and Family Fun Day gets closer - June 20.
Last year’s rally, a ‘first’ for the three churches (Drumtullagh, Armoy and Loughguile group of Church of Ireland churches), was very successful and the organisers are hoping for an equally good event this year.

The village area in the centre of
the field will have live music, dancing exhibitions, the food, craft stalls, places to sit down and take the weight off your feet (such as the knitting tent where you can help knit squares for blankets for charity and enjoy the craic), and all the children’s entertainments.

This year there will be more crafts and games in the kids’ corner, there is a puppet show, lots of try-your-luck games, a bouncy assault course, face painting, plus the teddy bears’ fancy dress competition which is very popular (please note there is no children’s fancy dress - that’s for next year!).

The vintage vehicles and attractions such as the thresher, stationary engines, saw mill, steam engines - even more than last year - and the tractor-building events will all be positioned around the outer part of the field. The car boot sale will be well placed in the parking field, at the two entrances into the events field, so no-one can miss it.

Prices at the rally have been held down, with children from 0-11 getting in free, secondary school students and senior citizens £2, and others £3.
