HANNAH Kane and Kyla Bleakley who conducted the Annual Junior Christian Endeavour Service at Dunluce Presbyterian Church extended a warm welcome to everyone.
Mr. Mark Beattie, Leader of Portballintrae C.S.S.M. Team spoke challengingly about, “Living For Jesus”.

Jack McCullough, Lucinda McQuilkin and Ruth Cochrane led in prayer. The Lectors were Conor Cochrane and David Cochrane.

Beth Cochrane who recited, “A Very Little Girl” was later joined by Jack McCullough, David Cochrane, Alexander Cochrane, Conor Cochrane, James McCullough, Daniel Steele, Katie Steele, Matthew Steele and Jason McQuilkin for a rendition of another poem, “Heavenly Gifts”.

Just as God called David Livingstone many years ago, so He calls us today to follow Him. Matthew Steele playing the part of David Livingstone with Kyla Bleakley as David’s mother and Katie Steele as Narrator told how his response to God’s Call led him to Africa where he was responsible for much pioneering Missionary work.

Music played a major part in the Worship. The children’s choir sang the anthem, “God is Light and God is Glory” and James McCullough, soloist, “He made me”.

One of the highlights of the Morning was the Presentation of Awards by Mrs. Gwen Carson. David McCullough received the Wylie Cup for the Junior who had improved most during the year and James McCullough the Temperance, Drug and Alcohol Education Certificate, having gained 92% in the recent examination.

Sharing in the Service was the Minister of the Church, the Revd. Stephen Carson.

The organist was Mrs. Georgina Hamill and the pianist, Miss Vivienne Carson.
