CHRISTIAN Aid week will be held this year on May 11 to 17 and local churches will again support the charity which operates in 50 countries worldwide.
Christian Aid have approximately 600 partners with whom they work. Local people understand the causes which create the poverty in the first place and can very often suggest what solutions will succeed.

This year has seen a shortage of food and prices have risen to record levels.

Christian Aid again focus on climate change and how this affects those already living on the margins of society.

The task is great but the Christian community are determined to make a real difference to improve the lot of those caught in the poverty trap.

A coffee day will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, May 14 starting at 10.30am and finishing at 3pm.

Everyone is welcome to come along. If making a donation please take advantage of the gift aid scheme and add approximately 28% to your gift.
