SIX people from Bushvale Presbyterian Church, including the minister, Rev. Kenneth Crowe, are to spend two weeks in Malawi where they will team up with a former church member who is working there as a Missionary.
Rev. Crowe will be accompanied by his daughter, Rachael and son, Daniel, along with Pat Crossley, Richard Millar and Jarlath Hegarty. An act of Commission was performed by Rev. Dr. Derek Poots during the service.

The six will jet out this Wednesday morning and they are eagerly looking forward to meeting up with Diane Cusick, a former organist at Bushvale.

Diane has been in Malawi for some years and her work and commitment has long been recognised by the congregation at Bushvale.

Thanks to some earnest fund-raising, the six visitors will be able to offer practical and financial help to Diane.
Mrs. Crossley told the Times: "We are all looking forward to the trip and to meeting up with Diane. She is doing excellent work and it will be a chance for all of us to get involved in a positive sense."

The affection and encouragement for the six was evidenced at the end of Sunday's morning service when congregation members gave warm handshakes and hugs and wished all a pleasant and safe journey.
